AandBC Theatre Company's The Tempest

Tickets are $15 for students and $25 for adults

*denotes outdoor performance

This production of The Tempest is staged either in- or outdoors and takes place beneath a magnificent, illuminated helium balloon that casts an island of light defining the playing space. The audience members become part of the set by sitting on scattered, padded oil drums within the lighted circle. (see The Tempest page for a full synopsis)

Performance is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes including an intermission. Immediately following the performance Artistic Director Gregory Thompson will lead a postshow discussion.

Tickets are available at the above locations beginning Sept. 7 and are general admission. Onsite ticket sales will be available 1 hour prior to the performance (cash or check only for outdoor locations). Seating begins approximately 30 minutes prior to the performance.

*Audience members attending an outdoor performance are advised to be prepared for unpredictable weather conditions and dress appropriately. Every effort will be made to complete the performance, including performing in light rain. A decision to perform or cancel will be made within 45 minutes following the scheduled show time. If the show is cancelled due to weather, you may request tickets to one of the remaining performances of The Tempest presented by Shakespeare on the Fox (subject to availability). If you are unable to attend another performance of The Tempest, you may be issued a refund for your purchase. Please contact the box office you purchased your tickets from to place your request for an exchange or refund.

A dramatic evening of musical poetry unfolds, beginning with ethereal beauty of The Afternoon of a Faun based upon Mallarme's poem and continuing as Shakespeare's The Tempest comes to life through music.
